Las Vegas Tourist is Kicked, Beaten on Strip — Video

Authorities are looking for the two attackers who brutally assaulted a St. Louis couple celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary in Las Vegas this past weekend.

The intended victims, Mitchell and Michelle Stonebarger, had just arrived at the Paris Las Vegas before they stepped out for a stroll on Las Vegas Boulevard. Mitchell Stonebarger carried a video camera and was recording the sights of the famous tourist destination.

Out of nowhere, two men wearing blue shirts came up to him and became furious when Stonebarger started recording them.

Aimed to 'Eliminate' Guest

“Don’t put your camera in nobody’s fXXXXXg face,” one of the men yelled at Stonebarger. The assailants then struck Stonebarger and grabbed the camera.

“These guys were out for blood,” Mitchell Stonebarger later told Las Vegas TV station KLAS. “It’s like they wanted to kill me.”

Even after the pair escaped from the vicinity and disabled the camera, the assailants kept assaulting the helpless visitor.

"I felt another punch, and I went down like that. As soon as I went down, I felt another punch, and my camera got yanked out of my hand. That guy took my camera, and I saw him smash it on the ground,” Stonebarger revealed. “The last place I want to be is on the ground in the fetal position, getting kicked in the head.”

According to KLAS, Stonebarger ended up with facial swelling and bruises due to the punches and kicks. He experienced a swollen eye and had a bruised nose, reported the Las Vegas TV station KSNV. A $700 camera was damaged during the assault.

He was subsequently seen by a physician at an urgent care facility.

A group of people observed the event develop, yet none of the interested bystanders offered help, according to the victims. None of the bystanders even followed up with the couple after the assault.

The victims subsequently notified the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) about the attack. The guests mentioned they do not intend to come back to Las Vegas in the near future.

“You hear people say, ‘Be careful outside of The Strip.’ I’m saying, be careful in The Strip,” Mitchell Stonebarger told KLAS.

Authorities Seek ‘Secure’ Travel Route for Tourists

LVMPD Captain Steve Connell recently informed Las Vegas TV channel KVVU that Las Vegas Sheriff Kevin McMahill “desires the tourist area to be secure.” We have worked diligently since the beginning of the year to realize his vision.

With crime remaining a worry for residents, businesses, and tourists in Las Vegas, local officials are set to host a town hall focused on public safety this Thursday.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the LVMPD’s Northwest Area Command (NWAC) located at 9850 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Promoted Casinos

A fantastic way for players to increase their bankroll is through an online casino promotion. In contrast to physical casinos, an online casino will never ask you to make a deposit in order to receive your bonus. You will therefore always have the choice to play for free. Some online casinos even link their promotion to a specific slot machine, allowing you to play on that machine and potentially win big.
It is best to carefully read the terms and conditions before you begin playing to determine whether the promotion is worthwhile taking a chance on.
